FIRs lodged against 12 illegal housing societies in Rawalpindi
FIRs registered against Gulshan-e-Kashmir (Asia Housing Scheme), Rawal Enclave and Rawal Town Housing Enclave, Faisal Town Phase-II, Amaan Developer, Manaan City, Multi Garden, Khayaban-e-Iftikhar, and others
Rawalpindi: Despite registration of FIRs, all illegal housing societies are working as per routine and looting innocent public with both hands for years.
Only to show its performance on papers, the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has once again lodged FIRs against 12 illegal housing societies here on Monday. It is worth mentioning here that over 600 housing societies are illegal here in Rawalpindi but the authorities concerned have failed to control the mushroom growth of illegal housing schemes from day one. The officials who have registered FIRs against illegal housing schemes are also facing dozens of FIRs in Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) in Rawalpindi. Not only Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) but NAB and FIA are also investigating the corrupt officers of RDA for a long time. Mushroom growth of illegal housing societies are due to corrupt officers of RDA therefore the number of illegal housing societies is continuously on the rise.
The concerned department has registered FIRs against Gulshan-e-Kashmir (Asia Housing Scheme), Rawal Enclave and Rawal Town Housing Enclave, Faisal Town Phase-II, Amaan Developer, Manaan City, Multi Garden, Khayaban-e-Iftikhar, Real Estate and Builders, Nabeel Block Kohsar Extension, F-Block, Top View City, D-17 and Kohsar Extension F-Block.
The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Director General (DG) Kinza Murtaza has registered FIRs against owners of 12 illegal housing societies. Owners of illegal housing societies named Sheikh Iftikhar, Sheikh Sarosh, Sheikh Imtiaz, Nayyar Raza, Muhammad Rizwan, Abdul Majeed, Tahir Pervez, Fazal Daad, Muhammad Pervez, Ibrar Rashid, Mohsan Ali Ishaq, Malik Muhammad Aslam, Chaudhry Zafar Ali, Chaudhry Muhammad Iftikhar, Muhammad Ahsen Sardar, Sardar Muhammad Jawad Khan, Sardar Muhammad Naseer Khan, Asif Pervez and Malik Fakhar-ud-Din were nominated in the FIRs.
Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) spokesman said that FIRs have been registered against 12 illegal housing societies. He said the RDA was taking legal actions against advertisements/marketing of illegal housing schemes. He said before lodging FIRs, the authority had issued notices to the 12 illegal housing schemes.
He said RDA had warned against launching apartment projects, commercial buildings, without getting the requisite NOC. All sorts of advertisement, marketing and development of such projects through advertisement agencies, private limited companies and civil proprietorships are illegal. “Therefore, RDA advises general public in their own interest that they should not make any investment in illegal housing schemes.
