PESHAWAR: Governor Ghulam Ali has conferred Tamgha-e-Imtiaz on senior sports journalist Amjad Aziz Malik in recognition of his services in the field. He was among 59 citizens honoured with civil awards on Pakistan Day in recognition of their excellence. The governor distributed the civil awards in different categories at a special ceremony.
Provincial ministers, government officials and people from different walks of life attended the ceremony at the Governor’s House in Peshawar. Hailing from Peshawar, Amjad Aziz Malik has achieved the distinct honour of being the first sports journalist in the country’s 76-year history to receive a nomination from the federal government for this esteemed civil award.
