With new govt in place, police dept sees massive reshuffle

Now that the newly elected government has come into power in Sindh, the provincial police department has witnessed a massive reshuffle, while another major reshuffle is expected soon that would see the police chiefs of Sindh and Karachi being replaced.

Irfan Ali Baloch, Police Service of Pakistan (PSP) officer (BS-20), DIGP traffic, licensing & training, Sindh, Karachi, has been transferred and posted as DIGP West Zone, Karachi Range, and Capt. (retd) Asim Khan has been directed to report to the Sindh Services, General Administration & Coordination Department (SGA&CD).

Ahmed Nawaz, PSP officer (BS-20), DIGP CIA, Karachi, has been transferred and posted as DIGP Traffic, Karachi, and Iqbal Dara, has been transferred and posted as DIGP traffic, licensing & training.

Javed Soonharo Jiskani, PSP officer awaiting posting, has been appointed DIGP Mirpurkhas Range, and Tanveer Alam Odho has been directed to report to the SGA&CD.

Muhammad Arab Mahar, PSP officer (BS-19), AIGP Legal, CPO, Sindh, Karachi, has been transferred and posted as SP Investigation-I, District West, Karachi Range, and Anil Haider, PSP officer (BS-18), has been directed to report to CPO.

Samiullah Soomro, PSP officer (BS-19) awaiting posting, has been transferred and posted as AIGP Operations, CPO, against an existing vacancy. Shahla Qureshi, PSP officer (BS-19) awaiting posting, has been transferred and posted as AIGP Gender Crime / HRC CPO, against an existing vacancy.

Suhai Aziz, PSP officer (BS-18) awaiting posting, has been transferred and posted as SP Technical/Forensic & Explosive, CTD, Karachi, and Shamyl Riaz Malik, PSP officer (BS-18), has been transferred and posted as AIGP Welfare, CPO, against an existing vacancy.

Farooque Ahmed Bijarani, PSP officer (BS-18), AIGP Establishment-II, CPO, has been transferred and posted as SP Foreigners Security Cell, Karachi Range, and Abdul Qayyum Pitafi, PSP officer (BS-19), proceeding on 35th SMC, has been directed to report to CPO. Muhammad Anwar Khetran, PSP officer (BS-19) awaiting posting, has been transferred and posted as AIGP Establishment-II CPO.

Muhammad Arif Aslam, PSP officer (BS-19) awaiting posting, has been transferred and posted as SSP Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell, Karachi Range, against an existing vacancy. Ali Bux, alias Aftab Nizamani, Sindh Police officer (BS-18) awaiting posting, has been transferred and posted as AIGP Motor Transport, Sindh, Karachi, against an existing vacancy.

Upon promotion to the rank of SP (BS-18), Mahmood Hussain, Sindh Police officer awaiting posting, has been transferred and posted as Principal PTS, Larkana, against an existing vacancy.

Twenty-eight DSPs were also transferred. Faiza Sodher’s services have been placed at the disposal of Addl IGP Karachi Range for District South, while Zain Raza Baloch, Farooq Hussain Mushtaq, Shahnawaz Jokhio, Naeem Ahmed, Saad Jabbar, Manisha Ropeta, Ahmed Iqbal Memon, Saifullah, Halar Khan Chandio and Iftikhar Ahmed Buriro’s services have also been placed at the disposal of Addl IGP Karachi.
