Police athletes clinch 13 medals in Powerlifting C’ship
LAHORE: Police athletes offered excellent performance and won 13 medals, including three gold, seven silver and three bronze medals in 20th Men Classic National Powerlifting Championship 2024.
According to details, police athletes Syed Nadeem ul Hasan, Majeed Hussain and M Rizwan won gold medals. Kamran, Shakeel Khalid, Zubair Manzoor, Zaman, Karamat Ali, Mahmood and Babar Hussain clinched silver medals while M Azeem, Aamir Ali and Ikram Maqbool bagged bronze medals in National Powerlifting Championship in which more than 100 athletes from nine teams participated.
Police athletes, who won medals in the National Powerlifting Championship visited Central Police Office and met DG Pakistan Police Sports Board, Additional IG Finance Riaz Nazir Gara and Chief Sports Officer Athar Ismail. Riaz Nazir Gara, on this occasion, announced CC-I certificates and cash awards for all the players. He said that athletes who won medals in national level competitions are valuable assets to the police department.
