Huge quantity of drugs seized

MANSEHRA: The police claimed to have seized a huge quantity of narcotics and arrested three drug peddlers.

“We have launched a crackdown and seized huge quantities of drugs from different parts of Baffa-Pakhal tehsil,” Tahir Quraishi, the deputy superintendent of police Shinkiari, told reporters on Sunday.

Flanked by the SHO Mudassar Zia, he said the crackdown was launched in different areas and three narcotics peddlers were arrested.

“During the ongoing targeted operation in Dhodial and its adjoining localities, the narcotics peddlers involved in smuggling of ice, heroin and charas were targeted,” Quraishi said.

He added that District Police Officer Zahoor Babar Afridi wanted to eliminate such dens involved in the supply of ice to youngsters.
