Union Club Essity Tennis Championships concludes
KARACHI: The inaugural Union Club-Essity Tennis Championship concluded at the hard courts of Union Club.
Shafiq Ahmed of Essity Pharmaceutical was the chief guest at the closing ceremony. In his speech, Shafiq emphasised the need to generate more and more physical sports activities for the youth of country for the wellbeing of society.
Muhammad Khalid Rehmani, President Karachi Tennis Association, in his speech highlighted the performance of Karachi division’s tennis teams, which performed excellently in 18th Sindh Games. KTA also awarded Excellence Trophies to Karachi division’s Sindh Games gold and silver medalists. A performance shield was presented to Fida Hussain, Pakistan’s Number One wheelchair tennis player who has won all the five editions of Commissioner Karachi Marathons wheelchair races.
