CDA hikes scrutiny fee for housing, commercial schemes land

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has increased the scrutiny fee for approval of layout plans of private housing and commercial schemes in Islamabad.
According to available documents, the CDA board has allowed an increase in the scrutiny fee of layout plans of housing schemes having total land of less than 1,000 kanals, from Rs3,000 per kanal to Rs3,500 per kanal. Similarly, the scrutiny fee for housing schemes with land over 1,000 kanals has been fixed at Rs4,000 per kanal.
The CDA board has also approved an increase in the scrutiny fee of vertical housing projects from Rs50,000 per kanal to Rs100,000 per kanal. The scrutiny fee for layout plans of commercial schemes has been increased from Rs100,000 to Rs800,000 or Rs120,000 per kanal.
The non-executive members of the scrutiny committee who are from the private sector will get Rs150,000 honorarium while government members, including member planning and design, director general planning, director general building control section, director general design, deputy DG planning and concerned director planning would be paid Rs60,000 per project.
