No gas loadshedding during Sehr and Iftar: SSGC
With the month of Ramazan less than a week away, the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced that the gas supply would be ensured in the city during the Sehri and Iftar hours.
“These timings have been worked out for providing convenience in food preparations for Sehr and Iftar,” said a statement issued by the utility on Thursday. The SSGC wished a blessed Ramazan to its customers and assured them of uninterrupted gas supplies for Sehri and Iftari preparations.
However, it said, it must be kept in mind that around 10 percent depletion annually in the country’s gas reserves had led to the widening gas demand-supply gap. “For this reason, in order to ensure improved gas pressure, SSGC would be carrying out gas pressure profiling from 09am to 03pm and then during night times from 10pm to 03 am during Ramazan.”
