PM misusing taxpayers’ money: Khursheed Shah
Says education system in Sindh not to improve until CM, governor, legislators and bureaucrats send their children to government schools
SUKKUR: The Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah, while talking to the media here on Friday, said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had been misusing his position by spending taxpayers’ money on politically-motivated public meetings and publicity campaigns to defend his family against Panama Leaks.
He said the prime minister’s misusing his position was tantamount to committing a crime. Khursheed Shah reiterated the demand for an investigation into the mater of Panama Leaks. “The prime minister is only cursing the Opposition at his public meetings,” he said.
Meanwhile, Khursheed Shah, while addressing a children’s literature festival here, said that the education system in Sindh would never improve as long as the chief minister, the governor, the legislators and the bureaucrats did not send their children to government schools.
He proposed a comprehensive legislation in this regard which would forbid the ministers, the legislators and the bureaucrats from having their children enrolled in private schools and colleges.
Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah said such legislation would bring about improvement in the education department. He said that students in public sector schools no doubt had a lot of talent, and there was a need to polish their talent. Khursheed Shah said that the education department must ensure equal educational facilities in urban and rural schools.
