Punjabi moot aimed to boost peace in region

LAHORE: World Punjabi Conference started at a local hotel in provincial capital on Tuesday. According to details, a delegation of 52 Punjabi writers from the Indian side of Punjab reached provincial capital via the Wagah border to participate in the three-day World Punjabi Conference. The top officials of Kendri Punjabi Lekhak Sabha - Darshan Buttar and Deep Devinder Singh said that the main purpose of the conference is promote peace and development in the region. They were of the view that peace is the dire need of the hour from both sides of borders.

IT experts from 10 countries join UOE conference

A two-day international conference on ‘Recent advances in computer science and information technology’ started at the University of Education’s Township Campus here Tuesday. Leading IT experts from 10 countries, including USA, Japan, Malaysia and Nigeria are participating in the moot. Around 120 research papers will be presented by researchers during the conference.
