Nine more Khyber cops sacked
LANDIKOTAL: The District Police Officer of Khyber, Salim Abbas Kulachi, has removed nine more police officers from service after they were found guilty in an official inquiry.
A notification issued here stated that the nine policemen were charged with having links with narcotics dealers and traffickers.A police official told this correspondent that the dismissed police personnel were involved in narcotics dealing and providing support to drug traffickers.
He said the DPO had also dismissed six more police officials from their service last week, who were found guilty in a departmental inquiry.The dismissed police officers were identified as Fida Muhammad, Farooq Khan, Shoaib Khan, former additional SHO Landikotal Fazal Rehman, Mahaazuddin, Shakirullah, Ishraq Khan, Fazal Karim, and Asif Akbar. The DPO also sent a separate letter to the DIG of the Counter Terrorism Department (CDT), recommending Asif Khan’s dismissal.
