Workshop on ‘Materials characterisation techniques’ ends
LAHORE: A three-day workshop on ‘Materials Characterisation Techniques’ organised by the Punjab University’s Institute of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering (IMME) concluded here on Friday.
The objective of the workshop was to cultivate participants with fundamental understanding and acquire skills in state-of-the-art techniques like X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Electron Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS), Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and Electrochemical Techniques employed for material characterisation and failure analysis.
On this occasion, PU VC Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood, IMME Director Prof Dr Mohsin Ali Raza, and participants from various organisations, including Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission, Pakistan Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, Laboratories Complex, Lahore, and others were present.
