PESHAWAR: The provincial executive council of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUIF) has termed the February 8 polls as the worst rigged elections in the 75 years history of the country and declared to fully follow the decisions of the party’s central general council about protest campaign against the rigging.
The meeting was held here with provincial president of the party Maulana Ataur Rahman in the chair.The meeting was also attended by central chief of the party Maulana Fazlur Rahman, general secretary Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, Akram Khan Durrani and all the shura members and elected representatives of the party.
In his address to the meeting, Maulana Fazlur Rahman said that the efforts were made during the elections to keep JUIF out of parliament under foreign pressure. He said that the party’s historic struggle for the Muslim Ummah on all fronts was not acceptable to the West due to which the majority of JUIF was converted into minority.
