LAHORE: The newly-elected members of National and provincial assemblies from Balochistan met PMLN President and Prime Minister-designate Shehbaz Sharif here on Saturday.
PMLN Balochistan President Jafar Khan Mandokhel led the delegation which comprised Jamal Shah Kakar from NA-263, Sardar Yakub Khan Nasir from NA-252, Jam Kamal from NA-257 and PB-22, Nawab Chingiz Khan Murri, Mian Khan Mandarani, Sardar Abdul Rahman Khetran from PB-4, Rahila Durrani, Mohammad Khan Lahri from PB-14, Mir Salim Ahmad Khosa from PB-15, Mir Shoaib Naushirwani from PB-3, Mir Asim Kurd Gallo, an independent from PB-30, Wali Muhammad from PB-41, Captain (R) Abdul Khaliq from PB-51 and Barkat Ali Rind from PB-27.
Shehbaz, appreciating the spirit of legislators, said political stability was emerging in Pakistan and “we will all work together sincerely for the development of Pakistan and Balochistan”.
He said the interests of Pakistan should be put first. Issues regarding government formation in Balochistan were discussed and the leaders from Balochistan informed the party president about their political connections. Khawaja Asif, Rana Sanaullah, Ishaq Dar, Ayaz Sadiq, Saad Rafiq and Azam Nazir were present.
In another meeting, caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi met Maryam Nawaz at Jati Umrah and congratulated her for soon becoming the first female chief minister of Punjab. He briefed Maryam on ongoing development projects in the province. Maryam appreciated the efforts of Naqvi as the caretaker chief minister.
