ISLAMABAD. Judicial Magistrate, Islamabad, Shaista Khan Kundi, on Saturday issued non-bailable arrest warrant for newly-elected member of National Assembly Raja Khurram Nawaz in a case related to the ‘Azadi March’.
The case saw the appearance of Asad Umar and Ali Nawaz Awan, who surrendered themselves to the court.
However, Khurram Nawaz failed to appear despite the summons, leading to his arrest warrant. As the proceedings unfolded, Asad Umar and Ali Nawaz Awan filed petitions seeking acquittal from the case.
The court, in response, called for arguments on the matter and adjourned further hearing till February 26.
