LAHORE: Partly cloudy and dry weather was recorded in the City here on Sunday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.
Met officials said a shallow westerly wave was approaching western parts of the country and may likely to move our upper parts during next 24 hours. They predicted that mainly cold and dry weather was expected in most parts of the country while very cold/cloudy in upper/western parts. However, partly cloudy weather in Balochistan with chances of rain-wind/ thunderstorm in southwestern parts and light rain was also expected in Kashmir and adjoining areas during the period. They added that shallow fog may likely to occur at few places in plain areas of northeast Punjab during morning hours. Sunday’s minimum temperature was recorded at Leh where mercury dropped to -13°C, while in Lahore, it was 8.2°C and maximum was 24°C.
