Couple among 3 shot dead

HARIPUR: A couple and one of their relatives were killed and another injured when two motorcyclists opened fire on a van in the limits of Sera-e-Saleh Police Station here on Friday.The motive behind triple murder was stated to be an old family feud.

Police officials said that Muhammad Rafiq and his wife and one of their relatives later identified as Munshi Aurangzeb were on the way to their native Shurag village by a Suzuki van when two motorcyclists opened fire on the van as a result the couple and their relative and van driver sustained injuries. The area people shifted the injured persons to Trauma Centre where the doctors pronounced Munshi Aurangzeb, Muhammad Rafiq and his wife as brought dead.

The van driver, Sher Gul, was admitted to the hospital for treatment and his condition was stated to be out of danger. Police officials said that the triple murder was the result of an old enmity.
