10-year-old boy murdered after abuse

Islamabad : A 10-year-old boy was slaughtered in the washroom of a mosque situated in Sector G-6/3 by an unknown killer, the police spokesman said.

The victim, identified as Abdullah Sajid, was memorising Holy Quran at the Bilal Masjid in the evening after his school. The Aabpara police have registered a first information report (FIR) on the complaint of Sajid Khan, the father of the victim, and handed over the case to Homicide Investigation Unit (HIU) for proper inquiry into the case.

Sajid Khan, lodged a written complaint with the Aabpara Police Station, saying that he is a government servant and attached to the Prime Minister Secretariat as a technician. He said that on Tuesday his son Abdullah left for his home at about 4 pm to memorise the Holy Quran but he received a telephone call from Qari Khalid after some time who informed him that his son had been shifted to the Polyclinic in critically injured condition, adding that as he reached the hospital, his son had expired.

Police said that the victim had been murdered after slitting his throat with a sharp weapon like a knife or a dagger. The investigators said that the victim was killed in the washroom of the mosque, as the blood stains were found at the crime scene.

Many controversies have been noticed in the statements of the people from the seminary and hospital staff, the people engaged in the investigation of the case said when contacted. The hospital sources said that the victim was taken dead, while the seminary people claimed that the victim was shifted to the hospital in critically wounded condition and was alive when taken to the hospital.

The hospital sources when contacted didn’t tell the cause of death clearly but disclosed that visible marks of torture are found on different parts of the victim’s body. However, the aspect of rape could not be ruled out as there are various signs to confirm it. The HIU sources said that the people involved in the heinous offence, have been identified and could be rounded up anytime. Meanwhile, some suspects have also been rounded up for investigation.
