PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers on Saturday staged a protest in Hayatabad against the party decision to award the ticket for election to former KP minister Taimur Saleem Jhagra.
The angry PTI workers blocked the Phase-3 Chowk in Hayatabad for traffic during the protest. They were raising slogans against Taimur Jhagra who served as finance and health minister after the PTI was re-elected to rule the province after the 2018 general elections.
The party workers were carrying portraits of Taimur Jhagra which were crossed to express anger at the award of ticket to him to contest the upcoming elections. They said Taimur Jhagra forgot his electorates after he was elected in the last elections.
