LAHORE : The Qul of Begum Surraya Khurshid will be held today (Thursday) at 80-B-3, Tariq Road, Lahore Cantt from Zohar to Asar. Dua will be at 4.30pm.
Begum Surraya Khurshid, who passed away at the age of 90 on Tuesday, was personal secretary of Madr-e-Millat Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah. She was wife of Kh Khurshid, former president of Azad Kashmir and secretary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. She was mother to Mrs Yasmin Haroon and retired General Manager Public Relations PIA, Prof Khurram Khurshid.
She was sister of journalist Khalid Hassan, ex-media secretary of PM Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and columnist Daily The News, Masood Hassan.
