NOWSHERA: Awami National Party (ANP) leader Mian Iftikhar Hussain contesting election for PK-89 on Tuesday said that his rivals had quit many political parties, which showed they were loyal to no ideology.
Addressing a gathering at Akbarpura town here, he said that he was the follower of great freedom fighter Bacha Khan and did not falter in his resolve to serve his people. Terming them turncoats and opportunists, he said his rival candidates had repeatedly switched loyalty, which proved they were not sincere to their cause.
A group of youngsters announced joining the ANP on the occasion. He welcomed the entrants to the party and said he would not let them down. Offering himself for accountability,
Mian Iftikhar said that the assets, which he had inherited from his forefathers, had decreased over the years, adding that his rivals amassed wealth, which was beyond their known sources of income.
The ANP leader said that he believed in serving his people and had never indulged in corrupt practices. He said that he had always practiced clean politics and did not use his power to accumulate wealth.
The ANP leader said a record development projects were launched in the district during the previous ANP government.
