UHS releases private MDCs third selection list
LAHORE: The University of Health Sciences (UHS) Monday unveiled the third selection list for centralised admissions to private medical and dental colleges in Punjab.
This year the University of Health Sciences is conducting centralised admissions to the private sector, mirroring the longstanding practice of overseeing admissions to public sector colleges for the past 17 years on behalf of the government of Punjab.
Admissions to private medical colleges will conclude by January 31st, and the process for dental colleges will be finalised by the end of February. The third selection list specifies a minimum merit of 71.1500 percent for MBBS and 68.9545 percent for BDS. Post the second list, there were 982 vacant seats in private medical and dental colleges.
According to a University of Health Sciencesspokesperson, new entrants are required to submit fees by January 25, while upgraded candidates must complete the joining process in their respective colleges by the same date.
The candidates have been advised to choose either to upgrade or remain in the colleges at their discretion for the upcoming list, as the fourth selection list is scheduled to be released on January 26.
