TALAGANG: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) ameer Sirajul Haq said Tuesday politics of dynasties and master-slave division were no longer acceptable to the people of Pakistan.
Speaking at an election rally here, JI ameer expressed hope the people would reject the status quo on February 8. He said the country was still under the influence of the colonial system, as the past rulers had failed to implement reforms.
They remained focused on looting resources, building personal factories and investing in foreign properties through shell companies, alleged JI leader. He said the three former ruling parties—PMLN, PPP and PTI—were pursuing the same policies. He said the mafias invest in major parties and reap returns once these parties come to power.
The former rulers, he asserted, had failed to address the economic challenges, burdening the country with heavy debts. He stressed the ruling elite always aimed at please Washington, considering it crucial for their rule in Pakistan.
He pledged the JI would advocate the cause of Kashmiris and Palestinians.
If voted to power, the JI would establish the rule of law and ensure across-the-board accountability, he promised.
He urged the people to seize the opportunity in the coming elections to break free from the status quo and choose the people capable of navigating the country out of the prevailing crises.
