LAHORE: PTI founder Imran Khan’s article published in the foreign media did not come from jail, officials insisted.
Jail authorities have investigated the issue of publication of the article and according to sources, the writing did not come from the jail. Prison officials said that people who meet him are scanned completely and their conversation is recorded.
Punjab Prisons Inspector General (IG) Farooq Nazir said that visitors to the jail were checked under SOPs and they come and leave empty-handed. “If an article had gone out of jail, big action would have been taken,” he added.
