LANDIKOTAL: The Landikotal Press Club has elected office-bearers for the year 2024.Journalists from Landikotal tehsil actively participated in the electoral process, culminating in the election of Shah Rehman Shinwari as president with 17 out of 21 votes. Umar Ali Shinwari secured an uncontested third-term as the general secretary.
Other elected office-bearers include Vice-President Malik Parvez Khan Afridi and Finance Secretary Shahid Khan Afridi.The election garnered attention from various quarters, including political leaders, trader unions, police, and district administration officials, who visited the press club to observe the democratic practice. They commended the journalists for their commitment to the electoral process.
In his remarks, the newly elected president, Shah Rehman Shinwari, pledged that his cabinet would diligently work for the welfare of both journalists and the general public.
