The Supreme Court has reserved its decision on the lifetime disqualification of MPs. It may be noted that a person convicted of immoral turpitude is, for now, banned from joining any government service for life.
It is hoped that very high moral standards will be set for those who ruled the nation and framed its laws in order for them to qualify for any leniency in terms of the disqualification period.
