UAE passport retains its top position globally with access to 180 countries
DUBAI: The UAE passport retained its position as the world’s most powerful passport, according to the Passport Index-2024 made by Arton Capital, a global financial advisory firm.
The positive diplomacy of the UAE has contributed to strengthening its passport significantly, Arton Capital commented.
The UAE passport allows its holder to enter 180 countries around the world, including 120 countries without a prior visa, and 50 countries that their visas are obtained online or on arrival.
Passports of Germany, Spain, France, Italy and the Netherlands came in second place with the ability to enter 178 countries, followed by Sweden, Finland, Luxembourg, Austria and Switzerland with the ability to enter 177 countries.
Passports of Denmark, Belgium, Portugal, Poland, Ireland and South Africa ranked fourth, allowing its holders to enter 176 countries around the world, while Singapore, Greece, Norway, the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, Hungary, Japan and New Zealand came in fifth place allowing its holder to enter 175 countries.
