Miscreants torch girls’ school in Bannu

BANNU: Miscreants torched a government-owned girls school in Meryan Tehsil of the Bannur district, it was learnt on Friday.
Government Girls Higher Secondary School in Mumbathi Barakzai area burnt overnight.
The fire reduced the science lab and the equipment placed there to ashes. The miscreants took away the solar panels and other articles. The miscreants also carried out wall chalking on the boundary wall of the school near the main gate and threatened more attacks if the school was reopened. The police officials collected evidence. District Police Officer Iftikhar Khan said an investigation had been launched into the terror act.
