What 2024 will hold
This refers to the article ‘Election astrology’ (Dec 22) by Dr Ramesh Kumar Vankwani. While I appreciate the writer’s insights into Vedic astrology and its potential applications, I believe the predictions shared in the article about the 2024 Pakistani elections are overly simplistic and lack sufficient evidence. Attributing potential election outcomes to the zodiac signs and birthdates of candidates ignores the complex interplay of socio-political factors that shape voter decisions. Issues such as economic performance, political stability, and campaign strategies likely hold far greater weight than celestial alignments in determining who wins or loses an election.
Instead of seeking guidance from the stars, I encourage all Pakistanis to actively engage in the upcoming elections by carefully evaluating the candidates’ stances on critical issues and casting their votes based on well-informed choices. Let us make the 2024 elections a testament to the power of informed citizenry, not astrological determinism.
