Death anniversary of Dr Hayat Zafar tomorrow
LAHORE:The 19th death anniversary of medical teacher Prof Dr Muhammad Hayat Zafar (late), the father of Principal PGMI/AMC and Lahore General Hospital Prof Dr Muhammad Al-Fareed Zafar, would be held tomorrow (Wednesday), at his native village Chak Sultan Mahmood, Tehsil Kabirwala, where special prayers for forgiveness and recitation of Holy Quran will be organised.
Prof Zafar Hayat (Late) was the former president of Pakistan Medical and Dental Council as well as the founder and first Vice-Chancellor of University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lahore. He had also served as President of College of Physicians/Surgeons as well as Principal and Chairman BoM of Nishtar Medical College. He was counted among the close and trusted associates of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, who also rendered unforgettable services in the movement for the establishment of Pakistan.
