The Sindh government’s Human Rights Department has introduced an automatic digital complaint system enabling the residents of the province, including those in foreign countries, to lodge their complaints online.

This was announced by the province’s caretaker minister for law and human rights, Omer Soomro, on Sunday as he spoke to a ceremony regarding training of the personnel serving at the newly launched digital complaints cell on rights-related issues.

The minister said the new digital complaint system would entertain complaints from the public on issues related to violation of the fundamental rights by any government or private agency in the province. He added that there was a dire need to build the capacity of the personnel associated with the complaint cell.

Over 20 staffers of the complaint cell completed a three-day training course covering issues related to fundamental rights enshrined in the Constitution.
