118 candidates submit nomination papers for 3 Hyderabad NA seats

Hyderabad: A total of 118 candidates have submitted nomination papers for the three seats of the National Assembly in Hyderabad district during five days, while 328 candidates are vying for the six provincial assembly seats of Hyderabad, according to the Form 31 issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

The Form 31 has been issued by the returning officers of the nine constituencies of Hyderabad. According to the form, 19 candidates submitted their papers for NA-218 Hyderabad 1, 52 candidates for NA-219 Hyderabad 2 and 47 for NA-220 Hyderabad 3.

Likewise, 31 candidates submitted nomination papers for PS-60, 34 for PS-61, 49 for PS-62, 68 for PS-63, 74 for PS-64, and 72 for PS-65.

Notable personalities who have submitted nomination papers in Hyderabad include Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leaders and former Sindh ministers Sharjeel Inaam Memon and Jam Khan Shoro, spokesperson for Sindh PPP Aajiz Dhamra, Deputy Emir of Jamaat-e-Islami Dr Merajul Huda, and former members of the National Assembly Syed Waseem Hussain and Sabir Qaimkhani.

Former MNA Syed Hussain Tariq Shah Jamot, Hyderabad Division Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Khalid Aziz Arain, Qaumi Awami Tehreek chief Ayaz Latif Palijo, and former Sindh Assembly members Dilawar Qureshi, Nasir Qureshi, Nadeem Siddiqui and Rashid Khilji have also submitted nomination papers in Hyderabad.
