Two ‘robbers who shot female MQM-P worker dead’ arrested
Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested two suspects in connection with the murder of a senior member of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan’s (MQM-P) women wing.
The two suspects were arrested by the Sharifabad police. They have been identified as Adnan and Arsalan.
Police said the arrested suspects are real brothers and habitual drug users who were also involved in street crime. Their arrests were made with the assistance of the Citizens-Police Liaison Committee.
MQM-P worker Rakhshanda Bibi, who was also the principal of the Government Girls Primary School Nazimabad, was shot in the head by robbers on December 15 for putting up resistance during a mugging bid. The incident took place at the Gharibabad underpass within the limits of the Sharifabad police station.
Police said that during the incident, Adnan was driving the motorcycle and Arsalan was riding pillion.
