Initiatives under Khushhal KP Programme yielding results
PESHAWAR: Various initiatives being undertaken by the caretaker provincial government under Khushhal Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Programme have started yielding results, said officials on Friday.
They were speaking at a progress review meeting of the “Khushhal Khyber Pakhtunkhwa” Programme chaired by caretaker Chief Minister Syed Arshad Hussain Shah, said a handout.
Besides the relevant ministers, chief secretary and administrative secretaries of the departments concerned attended the meeting.
The divisional commissioners and deputy commissioners attended the meeting via video link.
The officials said the digitization process of manual land mutations had been geared up, resultantly the number of manual mutations having decreased from 813 to 386 during the last few weeks.
They said that a system of arm license issuance had been made online, and a virtual system launched at prisons for the meeting of inmates with family members.The official said that the E-domicile system had been initiated in the Nowshera district and would be extended to the rest of the districts by January 31, next year.
The caretaker chief minister has termed “Khushhal Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Programme” as of vital importance for the wellbeing of the general public and said that all the stakeholders needed to have a collective approach to implement this important it in its letter and spirit.
“Besides improving law and order and governance system in the province, initiatives would also be taken against encroachments, drugs, adulteration, corruption and other illegal spectrum”, he said. The chief minister said people were facing a host of problems related to the
revenue matters which need to be addressed.
He directed the revenue officers to dispose of revenue cases well in time. He directed the deputy commissioners to personally monitor the revenue officers and other subordinate staff.Syed Arshad Hussain Shah has expressed concerns over the increasing trend of drug abuse within the educational institutions and directed the officials concerned to take corrective steps towards that end.
