KEMU wins trophy in debating championship
LAHORE
The debating team of King Edward Medical University (KEMU) has won general trophy in 23rd all Pakistan Debating Championship arranged by Debating Society of University of Engineering and Technology Lahore.
The debating championship was held at the university auditorium complex. As per results of the competition, King Edward Medical University won the general trophy. Similarly, in Urdu debate category Zain-ul-Hassan from GCU Lahore stood 1st, Shahdab Abbasi from Government College for Science got 2nd and Fatima from KEMU was graced with 3rd position.
In English category Naazish Zahra from University of Engineering and Technology Taxila came first, Namra from KEMU and Fahad from FUAST Lahore attained second and third positions respectively.
In the championship LUMS won the prize in category of parliamentary English Debate while GCU Lahore got 1st position in Urdu.
More than 50 educational institutions across the country participated in the competition. In the competition different topics in serious and humorous way were highlighted by the students.
They expressed fully with emotions and logics. The audience enjoyed the way of talking and behaving.
