Court summons Elahi in corruption case

LAHORE: Accountability Court (AC) has issued call-up notices to former chief minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and 14 other accused in a billion of rupees corruption and kickback case.
Zubair Shahzad Kiyani took up NAB reference for hearing on Tuesday. Prosecutor Waris Ali Janjua appeared in the court on behalf of NAB.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case till December 20. It is pertinent to mention NAB has filed Rs1.23 billion reference against Pervaiz Elahi and others. NAB is of the view that Pervaiz Elahi Moonis Elahi and others caused loss to national kitty and former CM Punjab misused his office.
