Forensic experts on Monday obtained samples for DNA testing from a human skeleton discovered during house construction in Orangi Town.
Unearthed in Faqir Colony on Sunday, the skeleton's DNA samples would be sent to a laboratory for identification, with police expressing that matching the results with their database could reveal the person's identity if linked to a missing person. The anticipated DNA report was expected within 15 to 20 days.
The District West police shared that the property owner, Saleem Kashmiri, sold the house to Azeem a year ago. During construction, Azeem made the startling discovery of a human skeleton buried in one of the rooms, wrapped in cloth, suggesting it had been buried several years ago. As investigations unfolded, the police were delving deeper into the circumstances surrounding this mysterious find.
