Following dictation made Imran controversial, says Sharjeel
HYDERABAD: Former Sindh information minister Sharjeel Memon has said the PPP wants the politics of hatred, linguistics and sectarianism to end in the country.
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto first visited Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and then Balochistan, and people from different parties are joining the Peoples Party, he said while talking to the media at Rawal House on Saturday.
It was the PPP that formed the PDM, then we were sidelined, and the leaders of some parties did not say anything, Memon remarked.
He said Imran Khan was ruling as a pharaoh, and if the PDM had resigned, he would have ruled for five years. He said Imran Khan was expelled through a no-confidence motion by the PPP.
Memon said that PPP always has democratic thinking, the leadership of the PML-N has sent a list for transfers of officers to the Election Commission, but we say the ECP should change whoever needed to be transferred. He asked if it is justified that half of the PML-N cabinet is sitting in the federal cabinet.
He said that when Benazir Bhutto returned to the country in 2007, she knew that her life was in danger, but she said that she would not run away in fear. Bilawal has said his fight is not with any political party, he said.
In response to a question, Memon said Imran Khan kept doing what institutions kept dictating to him, which made him controversial.
The MQM allegations should also be investigated, but the MQM and the PML-N have no programme for the people, he added.
In response to another question, Memon said that a newspaper printed a wrong report on the presence of buses at the Karachi port. He said not even a single rupee was spent on the buses.
On a question about Nawaz Sharif, he said that the “Ladla” is not beneficial to the country.
Mian Sahib has the same cases that were there two years ago, but NAB is not declaring him guilty in those cases. It is a bad thing that Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, the greatest politician of this country, was judicially murdered, he said, adding that the “reference was made 11 years ago, and I am thankful to Faez Isa, who has taken up the case”.
