ISLAMABAD: The caretaker government is establishing Privatisation Appellate Tribunal for disposal of cases pending in different courts and hindering privatisation of State Owned Entities (SOEs).
The caretaker federal cabinet has approved a summary through circulation for promulgation of a Presidential Ordinance to provide for establishment of Privatisation Appellate Tribunal.
The ordinance on promulgation would be notified in the official gazette. All the cases pending in different courts would be referred to the tribunal for early disposal to expedite privatisation of Pakistan International Airlines and other SOEs.
The caretaker prime minister has also directed authorities concerned to expedite privatisation of loss making SOEs.
