Service to people, country top priority, says Khattak
PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarians (PTIP) Chief Pervez Khattak on Tuesday said that peace and development of the country and province was the cornerstone of his party’s policy. Speaking at a press conference here, he said that reforms in all sectors, including police, health and education were introduced during his government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
Former Town nazim and PPP leader Muhammad Sharif announced joining the PTIP along with supporters on the occasion. Pervez Khattak said that he and his party leaders would try their best to put the province on the road to development.
"I have no personal agenda. I have always tried my best to improve the living standards of the people," he added.
The former chief minister said that it was unfortunate that leaders of most of the political parties did not honour pledges after coming into power. “The known political leaders have started joining the party due to its popularity,” he added. Pervez Khattak welcomed Muhammad Sharif into the party fold and announced full support for him.
