Protest against extension of Customs Act to Malakand

BATKHELA: The activists of the Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) on Saturday staged a protest against the extension of Customs Act to Malakand and demanded the government to reverse the decision.
The protesters gathered at the Aladhand road and blocked it for traffic.
Carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans against the imposition of Customs Act and favour of their demands. The protesters started the rally from Taxi Stand in Aladhand and reached Farsh area and blocked the road.
QWP vice-chairman Malakand division and nationalist leader Muhammad Ibrar Khan Yousafzai was leading the protesters.
The speakers urged the government to stop the discriminatory attitude it had adopted towards the people of Malakand and review the decision.
