Students to be trained in manufacturing of electric vehicles
PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and a private company have agreed to jointly train technical students for the manufacturing of electric vehicles in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Electrical Vehicle Academy Islamabad, a private company, is providing training about the manufacturing of the electrical vehicles, said a handout. This initiative will help promote the conversion of traditional vehicles towards electricity consumed vehicles in the province.
As per this collaboration, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Industries, Commerce and Technical Education department and EV Academy Islamabad will work jointly to provide the required training. The Khyber Pakht-unkhwa Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA), a relevant subsidiary formation of the department, will provide the space and required equipment for the training.
The company will impart training through their trainers to train the technical students and skilled workers. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Caretaker Minister for Technical Education Aamer Abdullah met with relevant authorities of the company and discussed matters related to training of electric vehicles.
Directors of the academy Saad Elahi and Syed Amaar Hussain Jafari and Manager Operations Ikramullah participated in the meeting. The meeting agreed to make joint efforts for providing necessary training for the manufacturing/production of electric vehicles in the province.
