LGH to discharge violence victim next week

LAHORE: The condition of domestic violence victim Rizwana, who was undergoing treatment at the General Hospital for the last five months, has improved a lot and she will be discharged next week.
Principal Ameeruddin Medical College Prof Al Farid Zafar, in a statement issued here on Thursday, said that Rizwana is now walking and talking. One arm of Rizwana has been fixed with plaster and the other arm will be considered for surgery after some time, he informed. Prof Al Farid Zafar said that after being discharged from the hospital, she will not be sent to Sargodha but stay in Lahore. “There have been requests from child welfare depts to keep Rizwana there for her rehabilitation,” he said.
