Industrial units inaugurated in DI Khan
PESHAWAR: Caretaker Minister for Industries Dr Aamer Abdullah on Tuesday inaugurated three new units and laid the foundation stone for two others in the economic zone of Dera Ismail Khan.
A handout said that the newly established units included food and beverage factories, as well as LPG and chemical industries with an investment of approximately Rs660 million under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company. The units are expected to create employment opportunities for around 1500 individuals.
Addressing the event as chief guest, Dr Aamer Abdullah said the establishment of an economic zone provided an opportunity to the local people to earn a respectable livelihood. He mentioned plans for the implementation of a Special Economic Zone in Dera Ismail Khan, which will boost development and bring prosperity. The minister urged collective support and encouragement for such initiatives.
