PMLN campaign under way: Nawaz reaches out to politicians in Balochistan

QUETTA: Over 30 prominent politicians of Balochistan announced joining the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz during former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his team’s visit to the provincial capital on Tuesday.

Former Balochistan chief minister Jam Kamal, federal ministers Sardar Fateh Mohammad Hosni, Mujibur Rahman Mohammad Hosni, Mir Asim Kurd and Mir Dostin Domki joined the PMLN.

Former Minister Khan Muhammad Jamali, Faiq Jamali, Ghafoor Lahri, Muhammad Khan Lahri, Salim Khosa, Shoaib Noshirwani, Zain Magsi, Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran, Sardar Masood Loni and Muhammad Khan Toor Usmankhel also joined Nawaz Sharif’s party.

Noor Mohammad Damar, Sher Gul Khilji, Haji Barkat Rind, Shaukat Bengalzai, Attaullah, Rababa Bilidi, Mir Anwar Shahwani, Sardar Ali Haider M. Hosni, Jafar Karim Bangar, Sardarzada Idris Taj, Agha Faisal Ahmadzai, Malik Shehryar, Ramin M Hosni and Haji Noorullah Lahri also joined the party. Saeedul Hasan, Atif Sanjrani, Dr. Ashok Kumar, Dr. Muhammad Ayub Baloch, Mir Ismail Baloch, Mir Tariq Bugti, Basant Lal Gulshan, Muhammad Kashif, Muslehuddin Mengal, Dawood Shahwani, Sardar Nimatullah Tamrani Bizenjo, Sardarzada Mir Akhlaq Kadarani and Sardarzada Alam Khan Tamrani Bizenjo, Meena Zeenat Shahwani, Sobia Qabzai, Kashifa Gachki, Sardar Alam Tamrani, Mir Akhlaq Bizenjo Zehri, Rab Nawaz Behrani and Haji Hanif Rind also joined the PMLN.

The political personalities of Balochistan had already established their contacts with the PMLN leadership and the formal joining was announced on the arrival of Nawaz Sharif.

Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and PMLN President Shehbaz Sharif congratulated and welcomed all political personalities from Balochistan on joining the party. Nawaz Sharif has camped in Quetta along with the central leadership on a two-day visit.

The top leadership of the party, including Shehbaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz, are also present in Quetta. Nawaz met with the leaders of all major political parties in Quetta.

Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) President Khalid Magsi, Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani, Jan Jamali, Sardar Saleh Bhutani and Manzoor Kakar also participated while National Party leader Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch, Jan Bulidi, Kabir Muhammad and Nawab Ayaz Jogezai, Dr. Hamid Achakzai, Liaqat Agha attended the meeting.

In these meetings, Mian Nawaz Sharif said the development of Balochistan has always been dear to him and during his time, thousands of kilometers of roads were built to eradicate poverty in Balochistan.

He said that southern Balochistan was connected with Sindh by building the road from Gwadar to Khuzdar and Rato Dero, but the work which was started for the development of the province was stopped when his government left.

Nawaz Sharif said he had taken everyone together earlier and would continue to maintain the tradition and strengthen the relationship of cooperation with everyone.

The political leaders thanked Nawaz Sharif for his visit and appreciated his passion for the development of Balochistan. The leaders of Balochistan agreed to cooperate politically with him in the future.
