Woman stabbed to death by husband
LAHORE: A woman was stabbed to death by her husband in the limits of Liaqatabad police here on Thursday.
The accused Yasir had nurtured a grudge against his wife for supporting the marriage of her daughter. The victim’s daughter had contracted a love marriage a few days ago. On the day of the incident, the accused Yasir went to his sister-in-law's house in Liaqatabad police area and stabbed and wounded his wife after having an exchange of harsh words with the victim. The injured woman was rushed to hospital where she died. The body was shifted to the morgue. The police arrested the accused.
Two arrested with huge cache of arms

Organised Crime Unit Model Town arrested two criminals and recovered a huge cache of arms from their possession. The accused were identified as Sheraz Butt and Mamrez. Police said the accused supplied the illegal weapons to foreign agencies, terrorist organisations, various criminals and shooters of Lahore. Police recovered 42 rifles, 58 pistols and thousands of bullets from them. The accused Sheraz Butt and his brother Hasnain Butt used to supply arms to anti-state elements and criminals. Apart from this, the police arrested two men Rafaqat Ali and Sher Baz Khan and recovered fake currency notes from them.
Two robbers killed by a citizen identified
Two robbers, who were shot at and killed by a citizen during a robbery in the Gujarpura area two days ago, have been identified. The police said that the two robbers identified as Haider Ali and Nauman were criminal record holders who had been sent to jail several times in cases of theft and robbery.

Around 2,007 medico-legal certificates (MLCs) were issued in the month of October from police service counters established in hospitals.
Around 344 medico-legal certificates were issued from Police Service Counter in General Hospital, 331 from Jinnah Hospital, 202 from Services Hospital, 206 from Mian Munshi Hospital, 209 from Kot Khawaja Saeed Hospital, 115 from Mayo Hospital, 92 from Ganga Ram Hospital and 71 from Nawaz Sharif Hospital.
