No political party will be allowed to use LHCBA: Chisthi

LAHORE: The newly-elected president of Lahore High Court Bar Association Pir Masood Chisthi said Sunday no political party will be allowed to use the LHCBA forum. The LHCBA chief said this is purely a lawyers’ body and it should be used only to raise voice for lawyers’ problems. Talking exclusively to daily Jang, Chishti said a writ is being heard on setting up of military courts in higher courts that is why he does not want to comment on the issue. But he said in his view the military courts should not be established as they will damage the present system. Now the country cannot afford losses in any form.
