QUETTA: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Thursday appreciated the services of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif for taking personal interest in preparing and training the Counter-Terrorism Unit of the Balochistan police making it an effective combat force against the terrorists.
He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the COAS in his address after inspecting the passing-out parade of the Special Combat Force of the Balochistan Police at the Police Training School.The prime minister appreciated the spirit and enthusiasm shown by the police officials. While speaking on the occasion, the prime minister pointed towards General Raheel Sharif and said that he paid tributes to the army chief for taking personal interest in the training of the Counter-Terrorism Unit and it was due to his interest that the training of the unit completed within shortest possible time.
It is worth mentioning here that General Raheel Sharif had shown extraordinary abilities during the week. He met a high-level US delegation, afterwards he had a meeting with troops and then on the same day he visited Karachi where he took briefing from the local commanders in garrison on Karachi law and order situation and then he attended Apex Committee meeting held at Sindh Governor’s House.
