Four-year-old missing girl found dead

GUJRANWALA: A four-year-old missing girl was found dead here on Thursday.
Zainab along with her mother, a resident of Lahore, had come to the house of her relatives. On Wednesday night, she went missing. The next day, police found her body from the fields at Shadman Town. Khiali police have shifted the body to the DHQ Hospital for autopsy and registered a case.
104 COPS ISSUED NOTICES: Civil Lines SP Nadeem Khokhar has issued show-cause notices to 104 investigation officers for poor performance.
The notices were issued to 24 sub-inspectors, 56 ASIs and 24 training SIs after inspection of record of different police stations. During inspection, it was revealed that the officials had failed to achieve the targets regarding arrest of proclaimed offenders, disposal of pending cases and other official matters.
The officials who were issued notices are: sub-inspectors Imran Aslam, Khalid Mehmood, Ali Sher, Tahir Bashir, Niaz Ahmad, Mushtaq Ahmad, Samuel Gill, Safdar Ali and Muhammad Asghar and assistant sub-inspectors Muhammad Javed, Sarfraz Ahmad, Bashir Ahmad, Muhammad Nawaz, Ejaz Akbar, Muhammad Asghar, Muhammad Riaz, Imran Akhtar and Ansar Javed and training sub-inspectors Faheem Arif, Dildar Hussain, Ejaz Ahmad, Shoaib Anjum, Yasir Ali, Aurangzeb and Shahzad Qamar.
MAN HELD: The FIA arrested an accused for illegally running currency exchange business here on Thursday.
The raiding party led by Inspector Malik Nasir Majeed raided the shop of accused Raza and arrested him. The team also recovered foreign currency, including Saudi riyals, Euros and the US dollars, from the accused. A case has been registered.
