‘Pakistan can take benefit of Iranian market’
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has an opportunity to take benefit of Iranian market after lifting of sanctions on its neigbouring country, a business leader said on Wednesday. The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Senior Vice President Khalid Tawab said Iran wants to supply 300 megawatts electricity to Pakistan and an agreement in that regards is expected during Iranian President Hassan Rouhani visit to Pakistan. Pakistan, he said, entered a new era of trade after signing China Pakistan Economic Corridor agreement with China. Replying to a question, he said the Iranian President svisit was aimed at boosting economic ties with Pakistan. He said the focus would be on Iran Pakistan pipeline project, while trade matters would also be discussed during the visit. Pakistan could export rice and other products to Iran.
